The Humanities and Social Sciences provide intellectual tools with which we interrogate our history, culture, arts and Political system and socio- economic relationship in the Niger Delta, Nigeria and Africa. The papers in this inaugural edition have contributed meaningfully to research in Nigeria. The journal serves as a forum for maintaining high standards of academic rigour.
We are deeply grateful to the Vice-Chancellor of Southern Delta University Ozoro and the Provost, Orerokpe Campus, for their support which has resulted in the actualization of this inaugural edition of the journal. This journal will grow and remain relevant in Nigeria's academic community.
